FWI Impact Report January 2025
1. We began a feeding program in Kwizu Primary school 68 pupils) and Kifingiro Secondary school (177 pupils);
This was brilliantly guided by Peace Corps volunteer Benita, who is based in Kwizu. She later wrote:
‘I’ve never seen these kids so happy before! Truly, you all helped do a wonderful deed, and the community couldn’t not stop thanking me on behalf of you. They wanted me to tell you a million times how grateful they all are for your help! All this was made possible because of your generous work.
Thankfully I was able to source the highest quality of iron-rich bean from Arusha called selian- 14, carrots and squash (the highest semi-shelf-stable vitamin-rich veggies) and peanut butter to help with healthy fats for brain development, malnutrition and stunted growth within children.’
